I think it will all shake out, and some order will come to it.

One place where we probably disagree, is I have no problem with the idea of the players being paid directly by the university. That just makes sense to me. (And, I don't see any contradiction with a requirement that the players be enrolled students, taking and passing some minimum course load).

Imo, the only impediment to a path that would create some order is the idea that the players should be treated with kid gloves because they are young/students. That should be thrown out the window. People have fought for the players to be treated like adults. Treat them like adults. Sign them to binding contracts that have penalties for breach. And, make a component of the contract that they are taking and passing classes at the school.

Right now it's a circus. But, I think some order will come.

If it doesn't, well it has been a hell of a ride.
