Earlier today he was dropped by his agent. This seems like an acknowledgement that the contract is at least strong enough to make the effort to transfer at best an enormous PITA.
Most of the problems stem from the NCAA needing to be dragged kicking and screaming to this point and still resisting allowing players to be school employees paid to play their sport (and entitled to associated labor rights). The requirement to have contracts that aren't really for the thing that everyone knows they're actually for creates the messy legal situation.
