is pretty favorable.
Non-conference Cal (7-6, 4-4, lost to SDSU and Hawaii), Nevada (3-9, 2-6, lost to almost everyone), and SDSU (beat Cal but lost to Hawaii, New Mexico, and North Texas).
In the B1G, they get Maryland (4-8, 1-8), Michigan State (4-8, 1-8), Purdue (2-10, 0-9), and Wisconsin (4-8, 2-7) with only 4 conference wins among them; Illinois (9-4, 5-4) and Minnesota (8-5, 5-4), who barely had winning conference records; with the biggest challenges being Michigan (9-4, 7-2) and Oregon (13-2, 8-1) on the road and the rivalry game in the Rose Bowl (9-4, 7-2).
Still a lot of work for Chesny to do, but it's hard to imagine the stars lining up much better than this.
