Agree with lots of that but the author said California is a big blue state and Texas is a big red state but Texas is actually purple. People have been calling this out for weeks Texas doesn't register by party so the only way to see registered voters is how they vote in the primary you can extrapoloate from that. If you do, there are actually more Dems than Republicans with about 15% no favorite party.

They have open primaries so you can vote Dem in the primary as a REpublican if you want to pick the opponent, but Dems can do that too and we know for a fact dems DID do that in the last election in Texas and other states.

But of the available numbers there's more than 1 million more Dems than Reps in Texas. which is why Texas is so big on suppression and gerrymandering.

The registration is a big deal but I also suspect that may have shifted since 2025 started it sounds like their data is from 2024 and back.

If people are still registering GOP over Dem now, then we are all doomed. If the first 6 months of Trumps attempted autocracy has people voting for more of him, then we are a dead nation
