The Canadian price is usually less than the US cost even with insurance since the Canadian price with no insurance is often 25% of the US cost. So my monthly cost on one drug will go from about $300 for a years supply from Canada to $2,000 which is the medicare cap for plan D prescription drugs in the US.
Example: Advair diskus for asthma US price for 90 day supply over $600 and that may double. Canadian price for 90 day supply was $94.
Some people will likely have to stop their medications.
