The drug tariff is pissing me off. I pointed it out before I get shots in my knees for osteoarthritis. I get gelsyn which is imported. I moved so I am getting them done at a new Sutter location and they ordered the shots trying to find a source that already had them so they could avoid the tariff(already imported). That led to them going to a place that my plan didn't cover, then they switched to a place my plan DOES cover but only the medical portion not the prescription. So they wound up declining that order. Then the doctor had to switch from gelsyn to Orthovisc because that's covered by my prescription plan.
Should arrive to doctors office Tue so it beat the tariff, and it turns out Orthovisc is cheaper, but I don't really know if it works for me as well as gelsyn did(supposed to be almost identical). And my shots have been delayed almost a month going through this whole process just because they're trying to avoid the tariff
Oh btw, Obamacare monthly costs will double in California next year if the GOP doesn't agree to extend the credits.
