Should allow the Republicans to use their majorities in both houses to implement the terrible programs that the White House is supporting?
In other words, should the Dems allow a lot of people to suffer, simply to show them what the Republican policies deliver?
Yes, the rich will get richer and everyone else will suffer… but afterwards, will voters blame the GOP and return the Dems to power, most likely for a very long time? That seems virtually certain to occur if the current spending bill passes, followed by the mid-term elections in 2026.
But here's the rub: Republicans know this. And they won’t allow it to happen. Their path forward is clear: take what they want right now, and then destroy the voting process before the electorate turns on them.
