President Donald Trump’s recent commutation of Santos’ seven-year sentence for identify theft and wire fraud also erased Santos’ debt to his victims.

Santos, in fact, had already suggested he wouldn’t make good on the $374,000 restitution, telling CNN he would only do so if it is “required of me by the law.”
