Harry Enten keeps making the same mistake.

He compares the portion of the rural vote that voted for Trump in 2024 with his approval rating.

They are different things. A bad approval rating for Trump doesn't necessarily mean they have turned on the QOP or that they would ever vote for a Democrat. A person can disapprove of Trump and disapprove of Democrats even more,

The only real measure would be to compare approval rating in the past with the present.

If Harry Enten is really a data analyst, he should know better. He compares election results with approval ratings a lot and claims that that measures how much the public's opinion has change. It's bad analysis.
