From tRump's perspective it's probably worth it. Operation Epstein Fury has accomplished it's goal; it's distracted the deplorables and low information types from the fact that tRump is Pedo #1. That he wrecked a good economy is just the cost of doing business in his mind. He's gotten rich from the corruption and he's willing to pay the midterm political price.
The ironic thing is that it wasn't necessary. The stupid war against Iran and the harm to the economy that it's caused... The deplorables don't care that tRump is a child molester because he gives them the racism they crave. tRump could have just sat back, set ICE loose on the brown people, personally loot the treasury, enjoy Biden's economy, and he would have been fine. There wouldn't have been enough to really make him suffer in the midterms.
But you start making diesel and Mt. Dew too expensive, even the sh!tballs begin to care.
