there were news stories a while back about the hidden godmode people accessed, and then thought that none other than God himself was talking to them on the chat. Or at the very least they were convinced that Chatgpt was an alive, conscious being.

BTW, the consciousness discussion will inevitably bring up what happens the moment AI becomes conscious by some definition. As soon as it does, we're now in a position to have created a new class of slavery, one may argue -- which is basically what corporations are really trying to get out of the AI R&D.
