Even in the majority they will be outclassed by Republicans when it cones to power politics and it will nor ever look or feel like we have a Democratic majority.
My guess, the moderates will immediately start siding with Republicans on any issue that matters, including ones related to SCOTUS, and they will fold again and again when we need them to stand up for something. Their mega rich donors will make the calls, not their constituents. They will be allied to take some small palliative actions they can show the public as accompliishments, but nothing that would change the fundamental power relations the right has established in the last few years.
Keep in mind that being centrist means embracing learned helplessness to varying degrees.
If Democrats win the majority, this will be their (last) chance to prove me wrong.
