Irans negotiators in NY said they released prisoners asked for by the US and then Trump didn't hold up his end and release Iranians and money.
Trump then today announced he will reject the peace proposal, the one that was essentially still the same, and said he'll resume bombing after the midterms.
So the logic appears to be they still think Dems will win the midterms and Trump will then resume attacks on Iran, claim election fraud and then presumably try and use the war to prevent the Dems from taking control of Congress.
Iran literally called it out.
