You were president of the "Fire Roberts" club for years. Then he manages brilliantly and they win two championships and we don't hear a peep out of you. So he has one game where things don't work out and Mr. 20/20 Hindsight comes out of the woodwork. Have you noticed that every other manager has had more "bad" games than Roberts? That's baseball. Moves backfire every day.

Some of your points are just unfounded speculation. Not starting Yamamoto had little to do with it. They lost like they have so many times this season: lack of clutch hitting.

Did you know Smith has hit .290 batting third this season with only 2 GDP's in 124 plate appearances? In the 4th and 5th slots he hit .253.

Don't you think they might have pitched Freddy differently with runners on base?

Did you know Bubic has thrown exactly 11 wild pitches in his seven year career? But Roberts should have known he would throw one in that situation??? It was also a sweeper, not a "knuckle curve". Here all all the sweepers he threw this season. NONE of them were in the area he threw the wild pitch (high and outside to a righty).

I could go on and on, but one could pick apart dozens of plays every game. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but it's on the players to execute them. Many of the moves you cite have been working all season. Where were you then? Second guessing baseball managers by cherry picking the moves that don't work out doesn't make you some kind of expert as you imply. Give us a break.
