You are awfully hung up on AJD yet you don’t seem to understand what BYU is doing that was so attractive to him. You don’t think Kevin Young had a good resume? I’d suggest you do a little reasearch. He is incredibly competent.
What programs are doing, inckusing BYU, is selling their schools as the best way to get to the NBA. Kevin You g has coached professionally at multiple levels and BYU along with the help of the Jazz have implemented an NBA system and program. They are running an NBA offense and training program. Very similar to what Nate Oats has done in Tuscaloosa. It’s a travesty that we didn’t pursue Oats with more fervor and wound up with Cronin.
Contrast that to what UCLA is doing and we are operating in the dark ages. Our recruiting is evidence of that with or without $$.
