There's no doubt we have talent. The real question is whether we’ll be able to defend the post and rebound effectively. Are we headed for another season of Cronin blowups over toughness, despite limited success at shoring up an obvious weakness? Will players like Trey Kaufman-Renn dominate us again?

If we can answer that concern with a solid yes, we’ll be in a position to compete with the likes of Purdue and Michigan in our conference.

Additional questions to consider:

Can we defend big athletic wings consistently?

Will team chemistry come together as hoped?
