You've read about UCLA having been a college basketball powerhouse about 30 years before you were born.
You may have heard that UCLA has the number one campus and is a top notch academic institution. But you aren't interested in those four letters (UCLA). Rather, you're interests lie in those three letters (NIL & NBA).
You say you want evidence. Look at numbers 1-3 on my post.
