Your inane argument has been destoyed below, but I want to focus on one point you attempted to discuss: positional coaches being: “Position Coaches get head coaching jobs all the time...in college and in the NFL”.

The hiring of a positional coach is about as common as sighting of the Loch Ness Monster. Rarely one sees a QB coach or a OL coach get a job. That is exceedingly rare however. The hiring of a Runninf Backs coach as a Head coach is as common as pictures of Nessy, Yeti and Bigfoot playing pinochle in Monte Carlo. I’ll wait for you to list any coach in the history of football who made the leap from RB to head coach. Just one.

There is a reason why that’s the case. The RB coach does so little relative to the other positional coaches. He coaches the least amount of people, he doesn’t call plays, he doesnt manage anyone other than an handful of people, and is typically among the least important coaches on the staff. It’s why one sees RBs transition to college or the NFL so easily. It’s a lot of innate talent and learning the playbook. There isn’t a lot of coaching necessary. No real technique, other than pass blocking and reading blitzes. Reality is that the QB shifts the coverage to alerts RB to who might be coming.

I’ll wait to see the extensive list of RB coaches who became HCs.
