Guys... Listen. It's natural to be skeptical of hires, but quit trying to hide behind the idea that our AD doesn't know what he's doing.... or that there wasn't a process of hiring a coach who's been an assistant for almost a decade. AD Jarmond has earned his job, and has experience in his job.
It's easy to disagree with a decision, but acting like the person you disagree with doesn't know what they're doing....before Coach Foster has ran 1 practice as a head coach, doesn't really help your argument.
Position Coaches get head coaching jobs all the time...in college and in the NFL. Coach Foster could just as well be one of the guys who is successful in that transition. So again....unless you had the same energy when you've seen other guys get this type of opportunity...with even less experience... Let's see how this plays out.
As far as recruiting...I've dealt directly with plenty of College coaches in my time with one of the premier High School programs in Southern California. I've seen directly how head coaches and recruiters interact with high school student athletes. I mean it's about building relationships with people, and having a welcoming program. Some of the more successful college coaches are raging a-holes in their interactions with people. Coach Foster going into the homes as a successful Black man representing one of the greatest Universities in the world has every chance to be as effective as some of those a-holes I mentioned.
This is Jarmond's guy...he's been with the program, and he's got a great opportunity here. I'm not sure why people are questioning this roster...but the cupboard is far from bare..
Just make sure the doubters keep that same energy when we take this to the next level.
