Is someone fired when asked to resign? Or do they resign? You ought to think that through. You may find out that Chip was asked to resign when he wasn't extended in December 2023. I know it helps stabilize your internal emotional world to demonize him, to vilify and humiliate him as a "quitter", but realize that you're doing it for your benefit, to make yourself feel better and to enjoy the imaginary movie you're watching on your cognitive screen. That's all good. The problem is, you aren't seeing base reality. You're just seeing your own private movie.
