Looks like we agree that Chip left because he wasn't wanted, and it was clear his days were numbered. You believe that Morgan Center bungled it by not just paying his buyout. It would have been politically hard to spend that much money on a buyout at that time with Morgan Center in the crosshairs of Newsom and the regents for the non approved exit from the PAC. Morgan Center was rational in trying to finesse his buyout given the situation.
