hired Curt Cignetti or some other G5 coach who has had recent success. UCLA repeatedly shoots itself in the feet by hiring unqualified coaches or retreads. Indiana does not have significantly better talent than us…they just have a much better coach.
I’m hoping the silver lining of a loss like this is to wake up the UCLA faithful and athletic department to the fact that the ONLY way UCLA will ever become relevant again in football is to hire a qualified coach. It won’t break the bank to do so if UCLA simply focuses on up and coming G5 coaches.
