How soon do you believe UCLA would actually be willing to pull the plug on DF? I mean let's say the new Chancellor is all in UCLA athletics and sees the current state of the program as an embarrassment to the University, and there are donors willing to take care of DF's buyout, does anyone here honestly believe that UCLA, a school which has a long and storied history of given coaches several years beyond when it was evident that what they were doing wasn't working and would likely never work. UCLA is also no doubt very cognizant of the potential bad optics of firing an African American coach after just one or perhaps 2 seasons as there will no doubt be cries of racial bias, that if he'd been white, he would have been given more time to prove himself.
While it is clear what needs to be done, I would be rather shocked if UCLA parted ways with DF in less than 3 years.
