He'd have most likely been the starter if we hadn't brought in Nico. I'd rather we had kept Martyn. UCLA doesn't have the pieces to anything great w/ Nico this coming year, and who knows if he'll be here after that. 50/50? Let's put it this way, if he's still here he probably didn't have a good year.

There's a good chance that whomever wrote the neck and neck article felt like it was sexier to project a highly rated freshmen winning the job than a "UCLA washout."

Anyway, I'd rather we held onto Martyn and Davis than swapped out for the Iamaleva's and the other guy.
