and they see the whole exercise as something akin to tooth extraction in terms of pleasantness. I say let him be. Maybe send someone else to be the point person and keep him in the background to answer questions if needed.

Everyone has a quirk. I suppose this is his.

(Haven't watched this year's video though. So maybe there's some improvement, I don't know.)
