There were also several people who questioned the hire due to Chip's well known distaste and laziness for recruiting, the failures which led him to UCLA and his lack of willingness to engage with boosters and fans, and willful blindness in connecting the dots between fan engagement, ticket sales, and program success. To many, Chip proved to be exactly what he we were cautioned he would be.
