If it's desirable, how did Jarmond end up with Foster two years ago?

Jarmond had BigTen money to make a much bigger hire than DeShaun Foster, but no one wanted the job. Wasn't Curt Cignetti on UCLA's radar two years ago, but chose Indiana and took Indiana to playoff last year? He was not a big-name coach back then, but he chose Indiana over UCLA. That tells you how desirable the UCLA job is.

Not having an on-campus stadium hurts the reputation. I mean, Rose Bowl has the history and scenic setting, but it has zero college atmosphere. The surrounding area is basically a huge quiet residential neighborhood with zero college atmosphere. It is a huge stadium, but doesn't compare with other huge football stadium like Michigan Stadium, etc. for traditional college game atmosphere.
