The talent level of the transfers seems to be about on par with the players they will be replacing. It seems like we are replacing bodies with bodies. Am I missing something? Is the thought that Chesney will be able to turn average players into Big 10 contenders?
Indiana to me is the exception to the rule. I have never seen a new coach take two and three star players and turn them into the best team in the country in two years. I still can't believe Indian has beat Oregon, Ohio St and Alabama this year.
Can Chesney do that at UCLA? I would like to hope so, but the odds are against him. Let's hope I am wrong.
