I'd like the ACA gone and replaced by some version of the public option (under whatever name or model) that dives directly into cost control. This whole thing about subsidizing health insurance is very much like providing college loans. We have seen enough of this kind of solution to know by now that providing more money into the pool simply pushes the prices up because it makes even more money available for the healthcare industry, as well as colleges, to get their grubby hands on, which keeps driving up the price tag.
So maybe turning that spigot off will be the wake-up call the American public needs.
The bottom may be deep and many many people will get hurt along the way, but no change is going to come about if we keep softening the blows continually delivered by this hostile environment called America.
