He is relatively big in the talk show space. They've already cut him out. He'll leave in May. Having a millionaire giving his son a plaything has little to do by its own with why they're telling Colbert to not air a segment.

Also, there is a whole "capturing channels of news and information to establish an authoritarian regime" angle that's also at work here. Ellisons buying Paramount is much much more than a business decision. It is a political move.
