I think he meant "sympathize". (Pointing that out because I don't think these psychopaths really understand what that word really means.)

So a dumb president does something dumb because he was dumb (GW Bush, I assume) but when this one does something that looks at least just as dumb, if not an order of magnitude dumber, that's ok because Trump is not dumb? I mean ... stupid is as stupid does, no?
