The problem with soccer fans

They are too defensive about their sport. It's like an admission that there are problems with it. Other sports have their flaws, too, but we acknowledge them instead of getting all pissed off that someone would dare to criticize them.

I could write volumes about the nonsensical soccer rules, e.g. awarding a PK which has a 75-80% chance of scoring for a ball that barely grazes someone's arm which has little or no effect on the play in a game where one goal often decides the winner. There are also some questionable rules and tactics in baseball and football, but I would just agree about them. It wouldn't ruin my enjoyment of the game if someone brought them up. Just chill.

(BTW, I watched almost 40 soccer games this year. How many did you watch?)
