This cover of Atlantic City by The Band, is just incredible.
Every cover of this song that has come out since, has basically been a cover of The Band's version.
Funny story to my family, when my kid was maybe 8, we were driving somewhere with one of his friends. This song came on and the kid, who ran to the dramatic side, repeated the first line with dramatic incredulity: "They blew up the chicken man in Philly last night??!!" As in, he'd never heard a song that started like that.
