entirely different budgets. That makes a huge difference. By all accounts the asking price for bigs is high and for effective starting level bigs it's astronomical. To get three of those guys tells me that Michigan has a huge war chest. UCLA, not so much.

Also, we've talked about this before, but maybe the two schools are not operating on the same level of ethics. If that's the case, who knows how that affects recruiting, but we know it can. Because of all of this I believe it's unfair to compare the two schools even if you just consider the money thing.

Things are really screwed up right now with how NIL is being run. Everyone is competing for the same players but the playing field isn't level on many fronts. I know for many the bottom line is who wins, but we both know that how you win is also important - or at least it should be or at least I would like it to be. Maybe I'm just too old school.
