and timing to things. I didn't really follow HCs all that much 25 years ago. I couldn't have told you who Meyer was, but then how nice was it to have a QB like Alex Smith at the time? I'm not saying Meyer wouldn't have been successful, but Smith was an unbelievable QB in college. That combined with Meyer was pretty electric.

Then Meyer goes to Florida and has I think a Senior Johnson who was really good and gets Tebow, the most sought after High School player.

I don't know if Meyer was a consideration at Ucla or not, but if he was, you'd have to wonder if he'd have anywhere near the success and if so, how long would he have stayed?
