So 40 is the billionaire tax, a one off that Brin and company have spent more than 200 million trying to defeat. If you pass this they will then change it and make it apply to everyone and start taxing your 401K's run for the hills.
But what's sneakier is 41 and 42 are both designed to negate 40 if it passes, in both bills if they get more YES votes than 40 does, they override 40 and make it illegal. But they are both set up to fool voters into thinking they are voting against having their 401Ks, homes and stock taxed when they're really paid for by billionaires to block 40.
Right now 40 is polling about 48% YES so not quite a majority but it's trending yes. But you can see the plan by the rich guys is working because both 41 and 42 are also polling YES, just lower, 42 is at 44 and 41 is at I think 43 percent
So it's obvious voters don't understand 41 and 42 because if they did, it would be trending NO.
Over 200 million spent by the tech oligarchs trying to trick people into either voting no on 40 or passing 41 or 42 with more votes.
Not sure why they did 2 I suspect the trick might have worked better if they only did 1?
