Ukraine appears to have developed a more effective strategy for reclaiming territory, reportedly reversing much of Russia's gains from this spring. Ukrainian forces are increasingly using combined-arms tactics, including deploying ground drones behind Russian lines to disrupt communications, create confusion, and weaken defensive positions.
Ukraine has also expanded its attacks on Russian digital infrastructure, reportedly targeting major data centers and disrupting internet services, online banking, search engines, and ride-hailing platforms.
There have also been reports of declining Russian bot activity online, including within the MAGA social media ecosystem, although the extent of that decline and its connection to Ukrainian attacks remain unclear.
Meanwhile, the United States appears to be moving in the opposite direction. Reports indicate that Washington has restricted certain intelligence support to Ukraine, while the Trump administration has eased some sanctions on Russia despite congressional pressure for tougher measures.
Now SpaceX has reportedly imposed restrictions on high-speed satellite connections used by Ukrainian military drones, with some operators experiencing communication interruptions of 10–20 seconds. These disruptions has seriously undermine precision-guided drone operations.
Trump and Musk are now actively working to have Ukraine lose.
