I realize this is a touchy subject but we all treat rumors differently. My question is, "Do you actually give the rumors and speculation a lot of credibility? For me, I give very little weight to any rumor I hear on the internet or any forum for that matter. I have to have some verifiable facts before I take any internet rumor seriously. And since Michigan is my wife's school, I've done a lot of research and looking trying to find out (for her peace of mind) if there is any basis for these rumors. Not a single fact to support them and I've dug in deep using AI.

It's been over a year now and no complaints to the NCAA by any university regarding "internet rumored tampering" or no actions have been taken by the NCAA (investigations, etc) or hint of coming action regarding tampering against Dusty May. All information available indicate that actions taken by May were within NCAA rules and happened after Mara entered the portal. All there is out there is speculation and rumors by some pay sites and bloggers and fans who listen to them and take what they hear as factual.

No doubt that it's always possible for an individual to do something illegal and not get caught if he is extremely careful and successful covering all fingerprints and tracks leading to him. But rumors and speculation alone are not enough to discredit or prove anything against an individual.

Personally, I don't take pleasure in seeing a highly successful coach like May being discredited or impugned based on speculation and rumors. If there were some facts to back these rumors up, I'd be the first to criticize him as I don't condone under the table or illegal moves by any coach. Seems like if there were any facts or illegal acts regarding tampering, the university would have complanined and NCAA would now be involved in investigating and taking some kind of action against him since under NCAA rules, it's against the rules to contact a potential recruit before the recruit formally enters the portal.

But bottom line, we all look at things differently and that's to be expected. No harm, no foul.
