I'm not trying to fix what's in your bubble. I'm on the outside knocking on your bubble to get you to see that you're in one.

***"How many times does it have to be pointed out that most of those 17 wins were against cupcakes".*** By this logic, we should adjust his first two years results for having among the toughest schedules in the nation, should we not? (2018 and 2019 Phil Steele had Ucla as the toughest and eighth toughest in the nation.)

Part of your bubble means it's impossible for you to balance your thoughts. You've been programmed against it. I've coined a term for it: Fanthink.

The "cupcake" argument is a canard, an unbalanced, Fanthink frame of reference (bubble). Let's not forget one of those wins was a dominant away game victory against a team with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

Chip was trending up, and that's a quantifiable fact. If you want to handicap it by toughness of schedule, go ahead. But you'll have to adjust his early years also.

I hold Chip accountable for a disappointing 2023 season. He bet on Moore and lost big time. That's on him. He f'd up the QB position and it cost him his job here. Specifically, the ASU and Cal losses cost him his job. Move those from the L column to the W column (as they should've been IMO) and the Bruins are 9 - 3 and likely in a much bigger bowl. But, we lost those games primarily at the QB spot. We lost to Utah at the QB spot also. I don't excuse Chip one bit here. But, having a bad season or making a position mistake (another mistake might've been having Yankoff returning) is not grounds for terming him a failure or evil incarnate.

He had the program moving up and we fired him. That's Morgan Center dunderheadedness born of cheapness necessitated by bankruptcy.

My allegiance to Ucla football runs too deep for me to switch at this point. I saw Gary Beban play in the Coliseum, got a degree from there and was a RB season seat holder for 35 years. I love the program. It was the program of my father, and my heart won't allow me to switch. But, I am excited to see what Chip will be able to do at tOSU with the best players on the market. When we play them, I'll be staunchly rooting for Ucla.

Oh, and no one is asking for you to understand why I'm on this board. Nobody is interested in that.
