Overall, and despite the pom pom waving by the 247 Sports Ucla Parasite, recruiting remains where it would've been had Chip not been fired. No change. We've got a mixture of nationally inconsequential players which, as a group, won't move the needle. It'll take more money than we probably have to do that.
Lazy recruiting then is lazy recruiting now. But the duplicitous Bruin media is now heralding a showy but largely ineffective recruiting style, proclaiming for all of you that this is a better bucket of minnows and ordering you to be passionate about it...and you are!
Never confuse activity with achievement. Making offers and hosting official visits, despite the Parasite's insistence to the contrary, doesn't count for spit.
BTW, Brandon Huffman of the Parasite said the quiet part out-loud on the 6/14/24 BRO podcast when he said that Chip Kelly had set BRO and 247 Sports "back several years", before recognizing his candid, agenda revealing disclosure and correcting himself, adding "oh, and I guess Ucla too".
They hated (hate) Chip because he rightly regarded them as frivolous. Chip treated them with all the importance they deserve: zero. Chip dampened their impact and diminished their visibility. He paid little heed to their thread bare ideas, their banal orthodox mouthings and their self serving pounding of their "rankings" BS.
In short, Chip was bad for their fake business. So, they had to get rid of him. To do so, they spent 5 years doing little else but convincing you Chip was bad for the program. That was, and is, contrary to the facts and the truth. But, most of you FanThinkers and chowderheads bought (buy) it. Dopes.
