Of course, people at UCLA and on the boards will still say things like "It's all about NIL, bro." "UCLA can't compete." "Public schools can't compete". "It's bad fans." "UCLA can't afford a good coach". "Who are you gonna hire who will do any better?"

Indiana seems to have figured it out. ASU seems to have figured it out. Even a middling but experienced former SEC HC just waxed our @ss with a re-tooled roster of nobodies. Illinois hired an experienced HC.

And UCLA is like "we gotta go with the quiet dude in the back of the locker room, because the players like him!"
