Develop a competing narrative. Challenge the public's assumptions at every turn. Win the optics game. Find the weaknesses in their position and exploit them. Humanize the problem by putting an actual face on the impact that Republican policies are having and put it in front of the nation's face 24/7.

This weird learned helplessness is so weird for me. Is this the way conservatives behaved when Democrats held all three branches of government? No. They fought. They developed a plan for opposition and implemented it.

There are so many things thay can do instead of sitting back and expecting things to fall into their laps anytime now. Their negligence is our downfall.
