base. All you're doing with these "equitable" districting projects is to make it less blatantly undemocratic. Create a weak facsimile of what you expect the breakdown of the state is and then cross your fingers that the demographics of these districts don't turn upside down in the next few years.
The fundamental problem is still there. The voter base is still being parcelled into ineffective buckets to preserve a predetermined (and projected) election outcome.
To my dying breath, man. We are once again holding on to a bad bad bad system because that's the only thing most people grew up with and don't know any better.
Ps: give it some time and watch this process get corrupted. The more you put these decisions in people's hands the more likely the chances of corruption grows.
