I fear we're about to find out.

GDP was .5 in Q4. We weren't at war then, we didn't have gas this high. What is the GDP now? What will it be going forwad?

I was in school during the Nixon, Ford, Carter massive inflation era. I bought a car out of it, got a CD, put my savings in it, I think I was getting like 10% I don't actually remember but I saved enough to buy a used VW Rabbit, which was a piece of crap.

I don't think that's an option going forward because Powell is going to be out as Fed chairman soon and the new guy will give Trump the low rates he wants no matter what. So we'll have a collapsing job market, and no safe haven for savings. Will the markets collapse we're about to find ou I fear
