my nieces go/went to Palo Alto high b/c my bro works at a reputable tech firm in the Bay. one of them graduated last yr w/ good grades but didn't get into any UC schools. she ended up going to $UC
the other one is graduating this year and has a 4.0 but didn't get into any UCs either and is waitlisted at UW and Santa Clara Univ
my friend in Education thinks the UCs limit the amount of students they can accept from each hs. if so, does that mean it would've been better off if my nieces had gone to a less academically prestigious hs in a less affluent area?
