Transgender females in female sports

The Boise State volleyball forfeit has this issue back in the news. And I am again wondering why this is even a debate. Why do we separate men and woman in sports? It has nothing to do with identity. Male “identity” is not somehow competitively superior to female “identity. Instead we separate the sexes because of biology, and the biological advantages males have. So why would some biological males be exempt from this classification because of their identity? It never made logical sense but nevertheless this change was pushed through without proper debate for political reasons. I have yet to hear a compelling argument for allowing transgender females into woman’s sports. The only argument is that it somehow validates society’s acceptance of transgenderism. But any such validation is illogical as stated above, and comes at the cost of athletic fairness and the elimination of roster spots for deserving biological females. An easy fix would be to reclassify men’s sports as “open” and relabel woman’s sports to a politically correct term for biological female.
