Of course we don't know what's going on, but I can't understand why Cronin is waiting for this guy (if he is) who seems like such a long shot. There could be some sort of agreement made or understanding which could explain his waiting. Who knows?
Jordan Burks out of UCF is still available. He's 6'9" 205lbs. He averaged 13 and 5 in 28 mpg. He shot 46%, 37%, and 78%. He went for 22 and 6 against the Bruins in the NCAA's last season.
He'll be a senior, and Cronin would only have him for one year, but if he gets Tounde he too will only be at UCLA for a year also. If Cronin waits to see what Tounde is going to do, Burks may not be available by then. I don't know what I would do? Tounde seems like such a long shot that the better move might be to go after Burks. But then again, maybe Cronin doesn't want Burks or can't get him in UCLA. Who knows?
Here's a video of Burks' highlights from last season. He's #99. He appears quick, fast, and mobile.
