I don't think that was made up. If memory serves, the main stream press was reporting that all was set for his return as he left for Spain. There was nothing nebulous about it. Then, all of a sudden he wasn't and very quickly after that it was announced that he was headed to Michigan. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I remember it. It was later that we started hearing other versions of what took place, including Mara saying that he left for Spain with no commitment to return. To me it starting sounding like everyone was looking for cover when the backlash of rumors of tampering emerged. I have no problem with kids transferring for whatever reason(s). I do have a problem with people going back on their word and people doing unethical things and then being smarmy about it. Why did he declare his intention to return if he, all along, had concerns about how many minutes he was playing and how he was being used? Things just don't add up and all we're left with is this smelly thing.
