Chesney will sign any 5-star players, at least for a couple of years. Therefore, I also doubt the Bruins end up with a top-10 recruiting class.

Ultimately, Chesney isn't going to compete with Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas (Austin and A&M), not to mention our rivals; at least not this season, and probably not next.

He's getting the players UCLA always got, at least when the coaches tried; and that's fine. It's where he needs to start.

Get some good players. Get some wins. Get some more NIL $. The better players will come soon enough.
