Now the important thing is whether Cronin will loosen his notorious short leash concerning mistakes. I believe he needs to allow his players to play through their mistakes to a greater degree than he has in the past. Clearly Kusturica will need time to learn, grow, and acclimate to college D1 basketball and undoubtedly there will be growing pains. Add to that Cronin's demands on defense and ball care and there's a lot of room for mistakes. Mistakes are part of the game, especially with the learning process. IMO, if Cronin can loosen things up a bit, trust his players more, and try and calm down a bit it would help everything (including recruiting) and everyone concerning his program now and moving forward. I believe he can still be a demanding task master type of coach and still loosen up a bit and give his players a bit more freedom. He doesn't have to compromise who he is while making more room for his players. We'll see what happens.
